Climate Change Theatre Action 2019 is gearing up, and I’m so happy to be a part of it. This event is global and is an opportunity for the arts to take on the issue that touches us all: climate change. Whether it’s air quality, or extreme weather, or ocean levels rising, or water shortages, or ocean acidification, or food distribution problems, or climate refugees, or loss of habitat and species, we are all affected. The Climate Change Theatre Action is a project of Chantal Bilodeau’s The Arctic Cycle, in partnership with Julia Levine; CCTA calls attention to the issues and opens up discussions–and a call to action. I’m honored to be one of the playwrights selected for the action this year. Fifty playwrights from all around the world! Fundraising is underway–and what better way to honor the spirit of the season than giving to support the life of the planet.
